Frances’ Obituary Mrs. Frances Louise “Janie” (McWilliams) Meriwether, age 73, of Okolona, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 26, 2020. Mrs. Meriwether was born on February 19, 1947 in Jefferson County, KY to the late Charles and Eva (Ray) McWilliams. Mrs. Meriwether worked as an inspector for Louisville Bedding. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents; and siblings, William, James, Emmitt and Charles McWilliams, Roberta Bowling, Norma and Betty Purcell. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 57 years, Harry Meriwether; son, Gregory Meriwether (Melissa); grandson, Jack Meriwether; siblings, Brenda Cox and Paul McWilliams (Charlotte); and sisters-in-law, Betty Allen and Martha Henderson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, August 31 from 2-8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY at 11 am. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
