Obituary EDWARD BLAINE BARKER, 90 of Weirton, WV passed away Saturday August 15, 2020 at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Weirton, WV. He was born March 25, 1930 in Mingo Junction, OH, the son of the late Edward Marshall Barker and Alice Gay Law Barker. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Barker, Janice Barker, Shirley Spurrier, Doris Hennis; three brothers, Milton Barker, infant brothers, Robert Barker and Ronald Barker. Edward served his country in the United States Marine Corps for six years, having served on the front lines in North Korea during the Korean War. He retired from the strip steel department of Weirton Steel Corp. as an assistant roller on the no.8 tandem mill. Surviving are his wife on 64 years, Irene Teringa Barker; sister, Carol Snider of Bloomingdale, OH; sister-in-law, Loretta Barker of Steubenville, OH; Edward was also like a father to his two sisters-in-laws, Kathleen Chervenak Banks of Weirton, WV and Joan Chervenak Lynch (Albert) of Huntington, WV; several nieces and nephews also survive. There will be no visitation. Private inurnment will be held at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.
