Mrs. Doris Boswell Newton September 11, 1940 – August 13, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Memorial Donation Mrs. Doris Boswell Newton, age 79, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her Pace, Florida residence. Mrs. Newton was born in Greenville, AL and had been a long time resident of Evergreen, AL prior to moving to Pace. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cross-stitching, needlepoint, word search puzzles, and being in her flower garden. She loved listening to gospel music, and especially loved being with her family. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Vera Boswell. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, William Amos Newton of Pace, FL; one son, Greg (Pam) Newton of Pace, FL; one daughter, Ina Harrison of Panama City, FL; one sister, Mildred (Jimmy) Conway of Evergreen, AL; seven grandchildren, Christy Kelly, Sasha (Chris) Oliver, Casey (Sean) Melton, Nicole Gilbert, Will Newton, Madison Newton, Wyn Newton; and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at the Evergreen Baptist Church. Interment will follow an Sunrise Memorial Park in Greenville, AL. Visitation will be held at Evergreen Baptist Church on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M. Pallbearers: Tommy Conway, Todd Conway, Terry Conway, Clay Conway, Sean Melton, and Brandon Ard.
