Connie Sue Buchanan, 65, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family late Thursday evening, August 27, 2020 at the Meadows at Osborn Park. She was born on December 3, 1954 in Sandusky to the late Enrico and Betty (Reiter) Vaccaro. Connie was very loving and cheerfully welcomed and accepted everyone she met. She enjoyed doing hair, sewing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Daniel Buchanan and Beth (Shannon) Nickolson; five grandchildren, Lovella, Paris, Shannon Jr., Shaylen, and Natalya; her sister, Nancy Ross; and several nieces and nephews. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Bonnie Denhart; her brother, Enrico Vaccaro II; her nephew, Enrico III; and the love of her life, George “Buck” Buchanan. Friends may call on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 5 pm until time of the service at 6:30 pm in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Ken Hiser will officiate. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, in care of the family.
