Clyde Amburgey, 80, of Indianapolis, died at 7:40 p.m. July 26, 2020, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Clyde was born February 20, 1940, in Knott County Kentucky, the son of Ballard Slone and Hazel Amburgey. He married Moreen ton; she preceded him in death May 4, 2005. He was employed over 30 years at the Golden Foundry and was a member of the local #86 AFL-CIO. Clyde was very knowledgeable about cars, and enjoyed NASCAR, Jeff Gordon, muscle cars and fishing. He was an extremely funny and sweet man. He especially loved his dogs, Cuddles and Ginger. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Gary White and L.C. Slone officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling will be from noon until the time of service Friday. All visitors are required to wear face masks. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Egan of Indianapolis; and brothers, L.C. Slone, Rair Slone and Delmas Slone, and sisters, Melvina Thacker, Shirley Adams, Lillie Bentley, and Arda White, all of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Moreen; and sisters, Betty Rose Slone, and Shelby Huff.
