Carol Mae Andrews, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Carthage. Carol was born July 22, 1939 in Cherryvale, KS to Tony L. and Vineta “Salmon” Pugh. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage and worked as a bank auditor for 30 years, first at the Bank of Carthage then at Boatman’s Bank. Carol was a member of the Assembly of God in Carthage. Carol was united in marriage to L. W. “Andy” Andrews on March 22, 1964 in Carthage; he survives. Carol is also survived by three sons, Jeff Andrews (Lori) of Tulsa, OK, Mike Andrews of Carthage and Craig Andrews (Gina) of Bixby, OK; one daughter, Vicki Hayden (Rick) of Lamar, MO; eight grandchildren, Abbey, Wade, Kyle, Jennifer, Sarah, Alicia, Emily and Celia; eight great grandchildren, Piper, Cora, Owen, Karsten, Case, Kollins, Saige and Austen. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Hermon Pugh, Clayton Pugh, Gene Pugh and Clarence Pugh. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Rocky Comfort Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
