December 13 1932 August 6 2020
Ann Holsclaw Partridge died in Evansville surrounded by her sons on August 6, 2020. She was born on December 13, 1932 to Hester (Elfreich) Holsclaw and Charles Holsclaw. She attended Hebron School and graduated from Bosse High School in 1950. She attended Indiana University and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, where she made many life-long friends. While Ann was raising her three sons, she worked in the office of Holsclaw Brothers, a family business that manufactured boat trailers. She was very active in the Junior League where she helped spearhead the development of the Wesselman Park Nature Center. She also worked as a volunteer at the Rehabilitation Center. After her children were grown, Ann worked as a commercial real estate broker, and served on the Boards of Directors of Cobb County Toyota, Cherokee County Toyota, and Perrin Properties, Inc. Ann loved Evansville, and in many ways embodied what is special about our city. She maintained and nurtured many life-long and, indeed, generational relationships. Many of her best friends were classmates at Hebron School, and the families of her friends were friends of her parents and children. Ann was effervescent – she always lit up the room because she was genuinely excited to be with people. Her friends said that the party started when Ann showed up. She simply loved people, and those who knew Ann knew that there were truly good people in the world. Ann also loved her children and was the best mother anyone could imagine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Partridge, and her sister, Mary Heumann (John). She is survived by three sons, Jeff Perrin (Myra), Mike Perrin (Melody), and Jim Perrin, as well as step-children, Beth Arnold (Randy), Brian Partridge, and Craig Partridge (Terri). Ann had fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Due to the pandemic, there will be a private family burial. Ziemer Funeral Home East is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to wesselmanwoods.org. Condolences may be made online at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com.
