Alicia Alvarado Pendleton December 18, 1945 – August 15, 2020 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Alicia (Lisa) Alvarado Pendleton, 74, of Blessing, Texas passed away August 14, 2020 after a nearly four year battle with cancer. Alicia was born December 18, 1945 in San Juan, Texas to Lionisio Alvarado and Francisca Munis Alvarado. Alicia married Dorman Clay Pendleton on September 8, 1967 and together raised two sons, Clay Anthony and David. Alicia was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by many, and will be remembered as a devout Catholic who was kind and caring to people from all walks of life. Alicia is preceded in death by her twin brother Alfredo, who died in infancy; parents; husband; only sister, Maria (Mary) Francisca Soto; and brothers, Porfirio (Pilo) Lara, Pedro (Pete) Lara, and Emilio Lara. She is survived by brothers Lino Lara, Cruz (Chito) Lara, Vincente (Vince) Alvarado and Antonio (Tony) Alvarado; son Clay Anthony and Cheryl Pendleton of San Antonio, TX; son David Pendleton of San Antonio, TX; and grandchildren Roman Anthony and Cael Anthony. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2020 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Blessing, TX. Holy Rosary will begin immediately following visitation at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will commence at 10:00 AM followed by burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Blessing, TX. Pallbearers are Adrian Lara, Oscar Lara, Paul Soto, Eugene Lara, Ruben Alvarado, and Daniel Galvan, Jr. If attending, facial coverings must be worn, and social distancing will be observed. As much as we would love to hug and comfort each other, we must play it safe in this difficult time. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Alicia’s honor to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Blessing, Texas, Susan G. Komen, MD Anderson Cancer Centers, or the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank the staff of the UT Health MD Anderson Cancer Center, University Hospital, and Vitas Healthcare Hospice, all in San Antonio for their excellent medical care during this difficult time of Alicia’s life.
