Thi Lein’s Obituary Thi Lein Wootres passed away peacefully on June 27, 2020 at the grand age of 84. She was born in Saigon, Vietnam on July 20, 1935. Thi is preceded in death by her husband William C. Wootres. Most will remember Thi as a kind woman with a big heart. Her home was her pride and joy; where she found great happiness in having family and friends gathered around to share in a feast, which she prepared. One could always put a smile on her face if she knew your belly was full! She held the award amongst the family as having made, “the best egg rolls in South Texas.” This generosity also carried over into wildlife; those who knew her will always smile as they remember the passion Thi had for feeding the seagulls. Every evening you could find her in the old walmart parking lot out in Flour Bluff caring for these magnificent animals. Although our mom, our confidant, our defender, is no longer with us in a physical presence; we are at peace in knowing she lived a beautiful, honest, life. Thi leaves behind to cherish her memories, son: James (Leslie) Wootres; their children: Carolin and Matthew Wootres; son: John (Jayana) Wootress; their children: John Wootres, Jr. “Jojo”, Jazmine Wootress (Nathaniel Cisneros); great grandchildren: James and Samuel Cisneros. She will be reunited with her husband William at the Buddhist Temple in Rockport, Texas. Services will be private. Read More
