Obituary Steven Dorsey Hammer, age 68, passed away in Laurel, Maryland on Wednesday, July 8th, 2020. Born August 21 in Takoma Park, Md. Son of Charles and Aileen {Coulter} Hammer. Steve lived in Laurel and worked in the heavy equipment and automobile industry until retiring in 2013. Steve is survived by Patricia {Bounds} Hammer (wife), Steven Joseph Hammer (son), Jennifer (daughter) and Devin Gilmore, Debra (sister) and Ralph Richardson, Ella G. Hammer (granddaughter), Joseph (nephew) and Erin Timmerman, Jessica (niece) and Justin Dedrick, as well as many others. Steve was preceded in death by Aileen and Charles Hammer (parents) and John Hammer (brother). Steve’s hobbies included camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a celebration of life will occur at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Steve to The American Cancer Society.
