Obituary Secundino A Lara Jr aka Jr Lara 60 formerly of Pecos passed away Wednesday July 15, 2020 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born October 16,1959 to Secundino and Margarita Armendariz Lara in Pecos. He was a Christian and a supervisor for Holaman Construction for 20 years, He married Olga Garcia February 1, 1998 in Odessa. Jr loved to dress in cowboy wear, he loved the rodeo and at times would dance to country western songs. He loved chickens, chivaas, dogs and especially horses. He loved to cook especially Asado and eat it to, He loved to be very blunt and direct at times he was known to have a loose tongue. But the love he shared towards his family and children and grandchildren was in measurable. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Manuela Levario and Carmen Covarrubio, brothers Arturo and Abel Lara. He is survived by his wife Olga G. Lara of Odessa, daughter Vanessa Anzaldua and husband Ernest of Odessa, son Ramon Soto and wife Yvette of Odessa. Sisters Guadalupe Baeza and husband Arcadio ‘Al ‘of Pecos, Virginia Pennman, Emma Kennedy and Susana Montoya all of Odessa. Brothers Ruben Lara and wife Antonia Maria of Pecos and Reyes ‘Ray’ Lara of Odessa. Jr also leaves to cherish his memory 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Due to Covid-19 visitation is set for 40 people only Monday July 20, 2020 from 9am-4pm and Tuesday July 21, 2020 from 9am-4pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Social distancing guidelines apply, and masks are required. Funeral services have been set for 10am Wednesday July 22, 2020 at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James McLurry officiating. Same guidelines apply. Burial will be at the Lara family cemetery in Petroli, Tx.
