Rose Glover of Flint, Michigan August 21, 1956 – June 18, 2020 GLOVER, Mrs. Rose- age 63, of Flint, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday, June 26, 2020 with a 1:30pm family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Pastor Janard Lakes officiating. Rose Mary “Red” Glover was born on August 21, 1956 the daughter of Mary Alice Washington and Lovell Hull. “Red” as she was lovingly called by family and friends graduated from Flint Southwestern High School. She was attending Culinary Institute of Michigan studying to obtain a Culinary Arts Degree. Rose enjoyed cooking and spending time with her loved ones. All the years of perfecting her craft in baking and cooking, she was known for her sweet potato pies, homemade buttermilk biscuits, and her chicken and dumplins made from scratch. She had a beautiful smile and shared her great advice, as well as her beautiful voice. “Red” leaves to cherish her memory: 4 children: 3 sons, Lovell Farmer Sr., Robert Farmer Sr., and Larry Farmer Sr.; daughter, Alicia Spillers; 15 grandchildren; DeAndreia, DeAndre, Trevion, Maniyah, Kamiyah, Lovell Jr., Taniylah, Chevez, Shanaree, China, Trustin, Alisyon, Lauren, Larry II, and Travis II; 1 great-grandson, Amir Randall; father, Lovell Hull; 4 sisters, Delores (Steve) Burns, Janet (Broderick) Johnson, Debra (Tracy) Brown, and Pamela Hull; 6 brothers, Oscar Washington II, Lowrinza (Joan) Hull, Wendell Hull, William (Dorothy) Hull, Richard (Janice) Hull all of Cuba, AL, James Hull of Cleveland, OH; 16 nieces, Koreta (Demetrius) Thomas, Sparkles (Tino) Rogers, Valencia, Deana, Montoriya, Dominic, Bianca, Latoriya, Gatavia, Lamaggie, Cleo, Rikita, Shayla, Janika, Denetra, and Matika; 9 nephews, Tracy, Oscar III, Lewis Charles Washington, Alphonzo, Jimmie, Richard Jr., Broderick Jr., Chris, and Namand; a host of great nieces and great nephews; 4 aunts, Lottie, Donnie, Evelyn, and Martha; 2 uncles, Henry and Jim; a host of cousins including special cousins, Johnny Collins, W.B. McElroy; and several friends. “Red” was preceded in death by: son, Travis Galloway Sr.; grandson, Robert Lewis Farmer Jr.; granddaughter, Alianna Spillers; mother, Mary Washington; brother, Robert Lewis; aunts, Ollie, Rosemary, Mary, Ada, Sarah and Daisy; cousins, Jerry Walker, Lashell McElroy, Clifton Burns, and Julius McElroy.
