Obituary Robert E. “Bob” Ferdon Sr., 82, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020. He was born February 8, 1938 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, son of the late Harry Earl and Sadie (Craig) Ferdon. Bob was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Aurora Masonic Lodge and Lawrenceburg Zion Church. He was part of the National Limestone Institute and National Stone Association. He was a Sales Manager at Stedman and Eagle Rock Crushers. His passion was cars and he was a member of the National Street Rod Association. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed riding in the car with his dogs and his dogs always enjoyed riding along with him. He was outgoing and never knew a stranger. He never forgot a person and they never forgot him. His greatest joy was his family and being a grandpa. He is survived by his loving wife, Amelia “Mickey” Ferdon of Aurora, IN; son, Robert E. Ferdon Jr. of Aurora, IN; 2 daughters, Lorrie Ferdon of Aurora, IN, Amy Ferdon Smart of Aurora, IN; 5 grandchildren, Kristine Ferdon, Robert E. Ferdon III, Whitney Smart, Sara Smart, Gregory Smart; and 2 great grandchildren, Kaiden and Karter. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Earl (wife Alma) Ferdon and his mother, Sadie Ferdon. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Aurora Fire Department. The family requests that masks be worn at the services.
