Rene’s Obituary Rene Reyes of Kenedy gained his wings Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the age of 58. He was born in Jourdanton on June 11, 1962 to Mariano and Olga (Sanchez) Reyes. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mariano and Olga Reyes and his brother in law, Eddie Tijerina. He is survived by his sisters, Norma Tijerina and husband Rene, Belinda Tijerina and Lisa Reyes all of Jourdanton; nieces, Cassandra Tijerina, Briana Iglecias, Abigail Iglecias and Dakota Iglecias all of Jourdanton; nephews, Jonathan Iglecias, Manuel Tijerina and Ventruce Turner of Jourdanton and Joseph Tijerina of Pleasanton; great nephew, Benjamin Tijerina of Jourdanton; great nieces, Leah Tijerina of Pleasanton and Amelia Tijerina of Jourdanton. He is also survived by his aunt, Adelina Barcenas of San Antonio and rosa Garcia and Dan of Jourdanton and uncle, Santiago Reyes and wife Hope Reyes of Brady as well as numerous cousins and family members. Visitation will take place at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Graveside will be conducted at Madre Dolorosa Cemetery in Poteet at 11:15 am.
