Kenneth Ray Youngblood July 25, 1955 – July 15, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation Kenneth Ray Youngblood, age 64, a longtime Hoquiam resident, died on July 15, 2020, at his home in Hoquiam. Ken was born on July 25, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas but spent much of his childhood in Tennessee and California. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. In the 1975 he came to visit Hoquiam and stayed. Ken was dedicated to ABATE for over 40 years, serving in most Offices during this time. Ken had a passion for history but while working on getting his 5th Degree, changed careers and went to work at Weyerhaeuser Pulp Mill as an Engineer. While keeping the plant from blowing up and taking out Cosmopolis, Aberdeen and Hoquiam Ken suffered injuries that forced him to retire. Surviving relatives include his wife, Liz Youngblood of the family home; children, Shay Youndblood, Katt Youngblood, Kenny Youngblood, Jr., Armenta Pratt, Zach Youngblood, Jackie Youngblood and Nick Lee. Three brothers, James Youngblood, Tom Youngblood and Robert Eugene Rose; four sisters, Anita McBride, Wynnona Bell Price, Ramona Diane Subera, and Vunnona Bell Harmon; and 29 grandchildren and great grandchildren. His daughter, Shay Youndblood and grandson, Caleb Youngblood preceded his in going Home to God. A family graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
