Julia Isabel Pastor de Salazar, 85, of Charlotte, died at her home on Thursday, July 9, 2020, under the loving care of hospice. Julia was born Callao, Peru, on June 15, 1935, the daughter of Miguel Pastor and Jesus Perez. She grew up there and married Carlos Salazar. About 25 years ago, she came to the United States. She was blessed to be a mother and counted blessings among the three children that she had. Julia also enjoyed crossword puzzles, chocolate and going out. Most of all, she loved the time spent with people, especially her family. Julia is survived by her children, all of Charlotte: Rolando (wife Nora) Salazar; Juan Carlos (wife Luisa) Salazar; and Erika (husband Joe) Salazar; her grandchildren: Leila Salazar, Karlita (husband Tahjai) Brown, Giorgio Salazar, Enzo Parattori, Giulianna Parattori, Genesis Salazar and Andre Salazar; and a great granddaughter, Aleena Salazar. She was preceded in death by her parents, her nineteen siblings, and her husband. Julia’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 2 pm at the funeral home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews. At 3 pm, all present will join in the funeral home chapel for a service to celebrate the life, love and blessing of this wonderful woman. Interment to take place at a later time at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.
