James’ Obituary James A. Wieseler, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2020 at Seasons Healthcare in Trimont. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. Due to current social and seating constraints, a public visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. James is survived by his daughters, Mary Collins, Cynthia (Horst) Eisen, Roxanne Wieseler (significant other, Russ), Carla Wieseler, Angela (Neil) Herzog; sons, James “Jim” (Lonnie) Wieseler, Paul Wieseler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence “Larry” Wieseler, Mary (Tony) DeFalco, Georgine (John) Schottler, Amy Dunbar, Michael (Sue) Wieseler; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ila Wieseler; his parents; his son, Timothy Wieseler; daughter-in-law, Sue Wieseler; and his sister, Margaret Ann Keiter. James A. Wieseler was born June 20, 1936 to Bernard and Cecilia Arenss in St. Helena, Nebraska. He moved to Baudette, where he graduated high school and married Ila VanDeHey. After marriage, they farmed near Baudette until they relocated to New Ulm in 1976. James worked at Mathiowitz Construction and Kraft until he retired.
