Honorable Ralph’s Obituary The Honorable Ralph A. McAllister, age 92 of Medina, formerly of Westlake, passed away on July 25, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Rosemary; their four sons, Ralph Jr (Nancy), Michael (Megan), Terrance (Natalie) and James (Janet); nine grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie), Caitlin Ramey (Joe), Brandon (Rebecca), Russell (Cassie), Erin Swanson (Eric), Jill Polniak (Anthony), Brianna, Sara, and Regan; and thirteen great-grandchildren. During his distinguished career, Ralph served Cuyahoga County as a Common Pleas Judge for 32 years. Prior to this, he practiced law as Partner at Terrell, Williams, & Salim for over 20 years. Ralph attended Notre Dame University, received his undergraduate degree from Kent State University, and went on to teach at Rocky River Junior High School while he attended Cleveland-Marshall Law School. He served his country proudly during the Korean War with the USAF 433rd Troop Carrier Wing. Ralph was a true community servant whose contributions included President of the Cleveland Board of Education, Chairman of the City of Westlake Planning Commission and Zoning Board, and Co-founder of Richmond Heights General Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Florence McAllister; and brothers, John and Robert McAllister. At this time a private family memorial service has been held for Judge McAllister.
