Erlinda Hernandez Ruelas born October 2, 1963 in Castroville, Texas to Rodrigo Hernandez and Carlota Ybarra Hernandez passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the age of 56 years. Mrs. Ruelas was preceded in death by her father, Rodrigo Hernandez; mother, Carlota Ybarra Hernandez; and brothers, Juan Hernandez and Rodrigo Hernandez, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Felipe A. Ruelas; daughter, Daisy A. Ruelas Garza; son in law, Damian Garza; grandchildren, Izaac, Nova, and Jonah Garza; daughter, Judy L. Ruelas Price; son in law, Jason Price; grandson, Jozhiha Price; siblings, Carlos Hernandez, Ninfa Guzman, Daniel Hernandez, Cynthia Hernandez, Jessica Hernandez, and Jesse Hernandez; also numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and many friends. Erlinda belonged to and attended St. Frances X. Cabrini Catholic Church and St. Leo’s Catholic Church Bible Study Group. She loved serving the Lord and she loved all her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, caring grandmother and loved helping others any way she could. We will miss her bright smile and contagious laugh. She was a proud woman of Faith and whoever she came across she would share the Lord’s love. Mrs. Ruelas loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She looked forward to the holidays and enjoyed traveling and working in her garden tending to her flowers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Due to these unprecedented times, traditional funeral services will not be held.
