Eric Wayne Ackerman, Jr., 44, of Sandusky, passed away as the result of an automobile accident on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. He was born on December 2, 1975 and attended Sandusky High School. He had been a tow truck operator for 15 years. Eric enjoyed building model cars, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, and spending time with his family and friends. Eric is survived by his wife, Jennifer Ackerman; daughters, Aurora and Leela; mother, Kitty Olivares; siblings, Becky (Tom) Truitt, Ed (Shanna) Ackerman, Joe (Brooke) Ackerman, Jim (Jessie) Berardi, and Matt Heidl; grandmother, Shirley Ackerman; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Eric Ackerman, Sr.; grandfather, Edward Ackerman; and grandmother, Myrtle Croxton. Friends may call from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A private funeral service will be held for the family.
