Dwight’s Obituary Dwight Parker, 79, of Moweaqua, died July 29, 2020, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Blairsville, IL. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2020 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. The family requests that you wear masks and practice social distancing. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua or Alzheimer’s Research. Dwight was born December 20, 1940 in McLeansboro, IL, the son of Robert Abraham and Elizabeth Ellen (Harrelson) Parker. He married Helen Drew on February 13, 1960 in Blairsville, IL. She survives. Dwight attended Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was retired from Caterpillar, after 30 years of service. Surviving is his wife, Helen; daughter, Debora MacDonna of Springfield, IL; son, Gary Dale (Sheri) Parker of Moweaqua; grandchildren: Erin (Josh) Masters, Keegan (Katy) MacDonna, Lisa (Kyle) Agney, Heather (Tony) Girardi and Brittney Lovings; four great-grandchildren; brothers: LeRoy Parker of Ottawa, KS and Robert Parker of McLeansboro, IL; sisters: Iona M. Kessler of Washington, IL and Katherine A. Parker of S. Carolina. Preceding him in death are his parents, three brothers, two sisters, daughter, Helen Kristine and son-in-law, Paul MacDonna.
