Donna Lee Kline February 27, 1958 – July 19, 2020 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Donna Lee Kline (Donnie), was born on February 27th, 1958 in Dale, South Carolina. She was the eldest of five children to Katherleen Sanders (Kline); raised by Daniel (Lovie) and Jannie L. Kline (Momma). Donna attended the Beaufort Public School system, and graduated from Battery Creek High School a year early, in 1975. After high school, Donna’s generosity and love of family moved her to help care for relatives in West Philadelphia and then the Bronx, New York where she settled. Donna was not perfect, but she overcame personal demons and adversities in life. Her desire to improve herself and her family motivated her to continually educate herself. Her education included classes at SUNY(EOC) and Grace Institute. Donna was hard working and appreciated by her employers. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for several companies such as the Department of Treasury, CNY-HRA and Create INC. until her retirement in 2020. Donna loved to dance, and even won dance competitions. She enjoyed singing, music, game shows, news and court shows and the company of family and friends. She always made you feel welcomed, and she didn’t have to know you in order for her to greet you with a smile. She was genuinely a people person. Donna remained positive despite her illness. During one of her last communications with family she said, “Whenever you think of me, just smile”. We remember her for her generosity, sense of humor, strength of character, her forgiving nature and kindness. She was an amazingly brave woman. She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Candice (Jonathan) Adams, Amber Kline and Byron Kline; siblings, JoAnn Brown, Yvonne Kline, Stephen Sanders, Stephanie Sanders, and Reginald Sanders; three grandchildren, Jonathan A. Adams, Thalia Lee Adams, and Zera Maddox; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
