Chris was an outstanding athlete and played football, baseball, and basketball. He was a fierce competitor and a good sport. At 14 years old he traveled to Florida with the Oak Grove Rough Riders to win the Pop Warner National Championship that was televised on ESPN. The passion he had for fishing inspired his nickname “Trout” by his friends. A graduate of Gilroy High School he received All Monterey Bay League selection at wide receiver in football and named to the Silicon Valley Youth Classic/Charlie Wedemeyer High School All-Star football southern team. Chris continued his education attending San Jose City College and San Jose State, where he earned his Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies and nearing completion in the Grad program. Shirlee and Kenny would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support, especially Kurt Simmons for his love and friendship for Trout. Rest easy Chris, we will never forget you. You will be dearly missed. Print Obituary
