Amanda’s Obituary Amanda Joyce Simmons, 28, passed away on July 28, 2020. Amanda was born on September 23, 1991 to Scott and Christine Curtis in Dallas, TX. Raised in Kaufman, Amanda developed a love for soccer and competed in youth leagues and for Kaufman High School. Upon graduation in 2011, Amanda continued soccer while earning her bachelor’s in business with an art minor from Central Christian College in McPherson, KS affording her a rewarding career with Gemmy Industries. On January 23, 2019, Amanda married Keith Simmons and the couple welcomed Winnry Joyce in October of the same year. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Keith Simmons, daughter Winnry Joyce Simmons, parents Scott and Christine Curtis, sister Krystal Ann Mayo and husband Zach, grandfather Jeff Curtis, mother-in-law Michelle King, father-in-law Kenney Simmons, brother-in-law Ryan Westmoreland and wife Candace, nieces: Aubrey, Samantha, Kathy, and Claire; nephew Micha, along with many family and friends. Amanda is preceded in death by paternal grandmother Linda Curtis and maternal grandparents Jerry and Aurora McMahon. Amanda’s beauty and personality were seen through her love for family, friends, and hobbies.
