Allen’s Obituary Allen W. Jonsson 4/9/1934-6/29/2020 Allen “Al” Jonsson went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2020. Al served his country in active duty in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Post 4927 in Centereach, New York. Al is survived by his daughters, Stacy Angeloff (Mike), Debra Furey (Paul), Michelle Tyrrell, and Christine Schnauder, along with seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and longtime friends, Peter and Linda Viscardi. Al is preceeded in death by his parents, Walter and Elise Jonsson and his sister, Karen Brandenstein. A memorial service with military honors will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Calverton National Cemetery, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Al’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or Hearth Hospice, 2700 Executive Park Dr NW, Cleveland, TN 37312. Cremation services provided by Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home. Read More
