Obituary Alexander Anthony Land was born on May 8, 1958 in Washington, Delaware to Willie Carroll Land and Loretta Carter. Alex peacefully departed this earthly life on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Christiana Hospital. Alex was educated in Wilmington Public Schools System. After completing PS Dupont High School, he attended Job Corp in Harpers Ferry, WV. It was there he received his trade as a painter and became certified. Upon completion, he worked as a painter for several paint companies, in which he served for over 40 years, and for Amtrak. Alex had an infectious smile and pleasant attitude that seem to get him into trouble. He was also kind, funny, giving, and a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed life to the fullest, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his mother, Alex was preceded in death by two brothers: Sylvester and Kendall. Alex leaves to cherish his memories, three children: Khaleelah (Kirk), Zykee Sr., and Kijah. In addition to his children, he leaves nine grandchildren: Zykee Jr., Michael, Michelle, Alex, Tatiana, Myleigha, Abigail, Mason, and Carter; and one great granddaughter: Nila; and his siblings: Chris, Maurice, Terry, Crystal (Howard), Ken (Mary), and Leon (Raphael); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives and sincere friends.
