Obituary Yvon Laine, 69, of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 2020. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he was the son of the late Jean Laine and Polizna Desir. Yvon was the beloved father of Jean Yves Junior Laine of Texas, and Vanessa Laine of Brockton; loving grandfather of Radley Thelusme, Jean-Eva Laine, and Isaiah Laine; dear brother of Nancy Laine of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and the late Marlene and Linda Laine; uncle of Jessie Moise, Ernst Moise, Charles Moise, Natacha Martial, Viergela Martial, and Nahomie Martial. Yvon also leaves his dear longtime best friends. He was an assistant director for the main electrical company in Haiti for many years before moving to the United States. He was a man of God and prayed faithfully daily. Yvon was outgoing and friendly to everyone he met and made lifelong friends. He was an exceptional cook and enjoyed teaching others the art of cuisine. Yvon will be remembered for his zest for life and giving nature. Respectfully, due to the current COVID-19 crisis, his funeral services are private. Interment to be held in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
