Obituary Whitney Nicole Pennell-Gross, 33, passed away May 7, 2020, at her in-laws’ residence in Bradleyville, Missouri. She was born on April 29, 1987, in Kansas City, Missouri to Kelly Anderson (Watson). Whitney was a lifelong resident of Taney County and attended Hollister High School graduating in 2005. In 2008, Whitney met her husband, Dustin Gross, in Branson, Missouri. Throughout the years their love grew and on June 2, 2019, Whitney and Dustin married in Taneyville, Missouri. They had a beautiful daughter together, Madelyn Victoria Gross. Whitney was a Christian and a member of the Taneyville Community Church, where she felt accepted and loved by those who attended. She was known for being the sunshine in people’s lives, bringing joy and smiles to those around her. Her family and friends describe Whitney as a wonderful, caring mother and wife. Her kind heart and warm smile could fill any room she was in. Whitney is survived by her mother Kelly Anderson (Watson) and step-father Paul, of Kissee Mills, MO; father Buster Sharp and wife Cheryl, of Eureka Springs, AR; husband Dustin Gross and daughter Madelyn Gross of Bradleyville, MO; brother Jesse Sharp of Springfield, MO, brother Willis Sharp, his wife Ashley, and their children of Grove, OK; mother-in-law Vicky Blair and husband Mike, of Bradleyville, MO; brother-in-law Dillion Gross & wife Lauren, of Bradleyville, MO; uncles Micah Burgess & wife Michelle of Louisburg, KS, and Tracy J. Kerr of Kaymore, MO; aunt Amy Watson & family, of Sedalia, MO; and lifelong friend & godmother of Madelyn Gross, Victoria Coxsey. Cremation has been entrusted to Whelchel Grace Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
