In Loving Memory, we celebrate the life of Ms. Shirley Anne Simmons 1946-2020. Ms.Shirley Anne Simmons, 73, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia for most of her childhood years and current resident of Newburgh Heights, OH, passed away on a sabbath day of Saturday, May 23, 2020 in the Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, OH. She was born on June 20, 1946 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, West Virginia, the daughter of Navy veteran John Elmer Simmons and Vada Arvetta White. She was the oldest sibling of three. To cherish her memory she is survived by her twin daughters, Tara Simmons and Tanya Simmons-Holloway. She will also be sadly missed by her son in law Ronald Holloway and five grandchildren Ayden, Tori Anne, Ava, Akayla and Ariana and one great-grandchild Cayleana. Her younger siblings (Frank & Catherine Chechitelli) and (Judy & Richard Pasqualone). Her nieces and nephews (Adam, Jason, Michael, Gina, Lisa, and Jordan). Her great nieces and nephews were also in her prayers. Ms. Simmons attended Wickliffe High School in Wickliffe, Ohio and graduated Rayen High School in Youngstown, Ohio under the name of Shirley Chechitelli. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio in which she became a mother and then a dedicated peace officer for most of her life. Her retirement was spent cherishing her grandchildren, loved listening to music, reading sci-fi and mystery novels. She was a very spiritual person and practiced and continued to study Judaism ✡️ daily this brought her closer to God. She always was a loving kindhearted person with knowledge and wisdom that will be missed dearly. She honored and respected those who served in the military as her daughter, brother and father have served. She now will be laid to rest in Section 111 K 22 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Solon, Ohio.
