Obituary Sharon was born in Calera, Alabama to the late Reverend Rogers Lee and Ozella Herndon White and was educated in the Shelby County Public School System. She was a faithful member of New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Calera (5798 Anglewood Lane 35040) and former employee of Shelby Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. Funeral Service will be Thursday (14th) at 11:00 AM at her beloved New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Jones officiating and interment in Shelby Memory Gardens Calera. Her loving survivors are: devoted husband; Rickey Lewis Powell, her children; Reginald (Tamara) and Cheryl LaQuasha Powell, brothers and sisters; Benny Rhines, Roderick (Rhonda), Byron (FlaTria), Gregory, Jacqueline (Gregory), Leslie, Wanda, Yolanda, Daphne and Senta, grandchildren; Dorian, Reginald and Tenija, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in repose on Wednesday from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Calera. Westside Funeral Home Calera Directing.
