Ronald’s Obituary Ronald F. O’Driscoll Jr., 72, of Hatfield, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Kathleen (Nugent) O’Driscoll. Born in February 1948 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ronald and Anna (May) O’Driscoll. Ron was a graduate of LaSalle College High School and LaSalle College. He received a Master’s Degree from Niagara University and a JD from Temple Law. Ron served in the U.S. Army where he achieved the rank of Captain. He had a long career as an attorney, but his true passions were fly fishing and the outdoors. Ron was a 30- year member of the Souderton-Harleysville Game, Fish, and Forestry Association. Ron spent many happy hours at the fishing club with his son Kevin and enjoyed recording the conditions and his catches in his Fishing Log. One notable accomplishment was catching 23 different types of fish on one fly. Despite trying to teach Katie to cast at the age of 2, she never quite “caught on”. Ron also enjoyed fly tying, reading (especially the New York Times Book Review), and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved any time he spent with his wife, Kathy, especially visiting Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania and watching mysteries together. Ron was a parishioner at Saint Maria Goretti Church in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. He was also a member and volunteer at Generations of Indian Valley. Ron had a great sense of humor and kept a positive attitude throughout his illness. Surviving with his wife Kathleen are his children, daughter Katie and her husband Eric, son Kevin and his wife Lisa, grandchildren Fiona and Ethan, and siblings Joseph O’Driscoll, James O’Driscoll, and Annemarie Dunn. Services will be announced at a later date. www.huffandlakjer.com Read More
