Roger F. Schafer, 75, of New Hartford, passed away Thursday (May 28, 2020) at Ingraham Manor in Bristol. Born in New Britain, Roger is a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1964 and was a New Hartford resident for over 30 years. He was employed as an Auto Mechanic and was an avid sports enthusiast. He was a fan of the New York Yankees, the New York Giants and loved fishing and going to the beach. Surviving are two daughters, Tracey O’Brien and Lisa Roy and her husband Jesse; a half-brother, James Schafer of California; and two granddaughters, Alisa and Ashley Roy. A graveside service will be held Monday (June 1, 2020) 11 AM in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. There are no calling hours. The Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain is assisting with arrangements.
