Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Rodney Hass are invited to the Schuller Family Funeral Homes’ Johnson-Schuller Chapel, in Wadena, beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday February 1, 2020 to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course just chat. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Rodney Earl Hass, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2020, at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud MN. He was born December 2, 1940, in Wadena, to Fred and Bernice (Dahl) Hass. Attending Wadena Schools, he graduated high school in 1958. Rod was inducted into the United States Army on July 18, 1962, and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1968. While growing up in Wadena, Rod enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Rod was sociable and enjoyed visiting the residents at Humphrey Manor, and also was a volunteer driver for Veteran’s providing transportation to their medical appointments. The past few years he resided at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. It was very clear that Rod was well liked and was greeted with smiles and conversation by staff, and was made to feel at home. Rod was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bernice, and brothers Duane, Don and Milan. Burial will be in Wadena Cemetery, Wadena, MN.
