Roberta’s Obituary Roberta Ann Whitlock, 93, of Gwynedd, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 in her residence at Foulkeways. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Tuthill Whitlock, who died in 1985. They were married in 1950. Born in South River, NJ in 1927, she was a daughter of the late Robert T. & Mildred J. (Simmons) Hucks. She graduated from New Jersey College for Women (Rutgers University) in food technology in 1949. She did volunteer work most of her life. She tutored special needs children, worked in several libraries, was a Sunday school teacher as well as a troop leader in Girl Scouts and helped for many years at New Hampshire Audubon Society. She was an avid birder and organic gardener. Most of all, she loved cooking nutritious meals for her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, Robert T. Hucks Jr,(Ruth Naul) of Centennial, Colorado and their 4 children Jane, Betsy, Scott and Jimmy. Her daughter, Amy Guilford (James) lives in Northborough, MA. Her son, Larry Whitlock (Alyce) live in White House Station, NJ. Roberta was blessed with 3 grandchildren; Samantha Guilford, Shawn Whitlock (Stacy) and Mark Whitlock (Eva) as well as 4 great-grandchildren: Cassandra, Shawn Jr., Colin and Logan. She also has 2 nieces, Jill Meisenhelder (Nigel Carter) and Alice Merrifield (Heather Treacy) and a nephew Jeffrey Meisenhelder (Peggy Murphy). She is predeceased by her sister, Janet Meisenhelder, in Dec 2018. Funeral services will be held privately for the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
