Robert Clay (Mac) McIntyre Sr 1936-2020 Robert went to be with our Lord May 14, 2020 in the early morning hours. He was surrounded by family and friends and much love in his final days. Born in San Antonio, TX, he graduated from Edison High School 1955. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, cousin and friend. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Roy and Ruby McIntyre, his father in law and mother in law Harold and Delrose Cearley as well as other family members and many friends. He is survived by his wife of over 43 years Karen McIntyre, his sons Robert Jr and his wife Brigid, Kevin and William. His daughter Leslye and her husband Todd Tonkin. His grandchildren Shelbie FitzSimon, Jordan (Shea) McIntyre, Madison McIntyre, Makenna McIntyre, Anthony Tijerina and Matthew Wood. As well as his brothers and sisters, cousins, family and numerous friends. Robert was an accomplished salesman, business owner, prankster, spinner of yarns and happily retired. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, fishing at the coast and sports of all kind. He spent many years coaching his sons in Pop Warner Football, attending sporting event like Texas A&M Football games and even attended a Boston Red Sox home game with his son Kevin. Robert loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas, where he spent many hours at the Blackjack table. Over the years he was able to travel to Hawaii and Spain with his wife Karen. He also loved to take Cruises or just a good ole fashioned road trip with his family, all over the United States. Robert was a loving, kind, and generous man to all who knew him, as well as many who just had the pleasure to meet him. He was always the one to pick up the check or help out anyone who needed it. He always had a smile on his face to greet you, he enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was highly respected and admired by many. He will be missed by all! There will be no formal funeral services as this was Robert’s wish, the family does plan to have a celebration of life the date is yet still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
