Robert “Bob” Gayle Hussey, Jr., 80, of Asheboro, died Friday, May 15, 2020, at his home. Bob was born on November 14, 1939, in Randolph Co., to the late Robert Gayle Hussey Sr. and Inez Trogdon Hussey. He graduated from Farmer High School in 1957. Bob retired as an Electrical Inspector with the City of Asheboro. He was a member of New Union United Methodist Church where he also served in the church council and PPR Committee. Bob was a musician and he enjoyed fishing and riding his tractor. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jester Hussey; sons, Robert Gayle Hussey III and wife Nina of San Antonio TX, Donald Hussey of Asheboro, Tim Arrington of Asheboro; daughters, Karen Hampton and husband David of Oakridge, NC, Angela Arrington of Oakridge, NC; sisters, Caroline Freeman of Matthews, NC, Judy Potthoff and husband Richard of Greensboro; grandchildren, Karl Hussey, Kass Hussey, Keri Emory White; great grandchildren, Peyton White, and Jase White. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, there will be a private graveside service on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Hussey and Rev. Lynn Cash officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
