Revonda Quinn Skidmore Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister Canton-Revonda Skidmore, age 59, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Friday, May 8, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Barbara Quinn; one son, Johnny Skidmore and a grandson, Douglas James Holcombe. Revonda leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Douglas James Skidmore; her children, Ronda (Steven) Ray of Waynesville; Jason (Becky) Skidmore of Mills River, Josh(Gina) Skidmore of Candler, Ronnie Skidmore of Canton and special children LeAnn and Toe Joe of the home place. She is also survived by six brothers, Larry Curtis and Garry Curtis of Black Mountain, Terry (Liz) Curtis of Ellendale, Gene (Debbie) Quinn of Hickory, James Quinn of Black Mountain and Tommy (Lisa) Quinn of Seymour, TN; along with two sisters, Brenda Cook of Longview and Sharon Quinn of the home place; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many friends. Revonda was a very loving and nurturing lady who loved to have family around her. She enjoyed playing with the grand and great grand children in the yard and listening to their laughter. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1:00 pm onward, on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Skidmore’s home. Flowers would be appreciated to have a living memorial at the home, in Revonda’s memory.
