Matthews, Ray, of Sullivan, Missouri, was born July 24, 1942 in Evansville, Indiana to Roland and Leola (nee Fisher) Matthews and entered into rest Wednesday, May 20, 2020 in Saint Louis, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 27 days. He is preceded in death by, his parents, He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy Matthews, two (2) children, Tracy (Chris) McCready and Jeff Matthews, five (5) grandchildren, Hayley McCready, Abbey McCready, Paige Matthews, Sophia Matthews and Mia Matthews, along with numerous extended family and friends. Ray loved the outdoors, fishing and farming. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Service at 11:00 a.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 10301 Big Bend Rd. Kirkwood, Missouri, followed by interment at OakHill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
