Obituary Mrs. Rachel Yancy Bailey of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 in Rising Fawn, GA. Mrs. Bailey was born on July 26, 1928 in Danville, AL to Chesley Vincent Yancy and Mary Lillian Elrod Yancy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George R. Bailey; son, Richard G. Bailey; son-in-law, Birdwell McMunn. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo McMunn; sons, George J. Bailey (Donna) and Don V. Bailey (Mary); grandchildren, Jason McMunn, Nicole Chaney, Tamara Bryant, Alan Bailey, David Bailey, Kathy Ragon, Kelley Doolittle, Jim Teas, Miller Haynes and David Haynes; 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Isom’s Chapel Methodist Church. There will be a private graveside service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Athens City Cemetery with Jim Hixon, Tony Jones, and Bill Stone officiating.
