Obituary Noble Elton Hudson, 81, died on April 30th at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born on Halloween to Pearl and Blanchard Hudson, he was raised on the family farm in the Mingo Community outside of Dunn, NC and attended Mingo High School before marrying Joyce McMillian in 1957. After earning his barber license, he and Joyce moved to Goldsboro where he and J.R. Daughtry ran Jefferson Park Barber Shop for 50+ years developing friendships with several generations of customers. He was an active member of Jefferson Methodist Church for most of his adult life before moving back to “The Farm” in 2011 and joining Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Noble loved his family, fishing and UNC basketball. He was a great husband, father, brother and friend, but he was at his best in the role of “Gran” showing his biggest smiles when he was playing with his grandchildren. While the family celebrates his presence with his Savior, Jesus Christ, he will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years, Joyce, four sons and their wives, Elton Jackson Mack & Chloe, Mike & Allison, Tony & Patti and Noble Dwayne & Jodie, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters (Jewel Grantham, Betty Evans & Bess Cooper), 2 brothers (Weldon Hudson & Norman Hudson) and multiple nieces and nephews. Noble Elton was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Edna Holland. A private service for immediate family will be held at the family cemetery located on the family farm he so dearly loved. The service will be available for viewing after 2 p.m. Saturday on Mr. Hudson’s obituary page under the Tributes tab at www.skinnerandsmith.com.
