Obituary of Myrtle Agnes Rotenberry Myrtle Rotenberry, 97, widow of Dewey Nelson Rotenberry, danced thru the gates of heaven on May 5, 2020. She leaves behind a legacy of praising the Lord every day. She was born on August 21, 1922 in Floyd, VA and was the daughter of the late Kyle Shelton and the late Jocie Turpin Shelton. She leaves behind a son, Dewey Rotenberry, Jr.; sisters, Hazel Phillips, Irene Dalton, Louise Quesenberry (Coburn), and Zula Saul, as well as several nieces and nephews all of whom she loved. She also leaves behind her best friends Ann Gentry and Jeanie and Larry Cook all of whom shared many memories with her. A special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Lewis Gale Medical Center for the care they provided to Myrtle. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Cemetery beside her husband Dewey Rotenberry, and her parents Kyle & Jocie Shelton. A private ceremony will be held for the family at a later date.
