May 16, 2020 at The Gardens at Royal Oaks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ackerman; sisters, Mildred Rownd and Diane Wilson and granddaughter, Corinne Burns. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (Andy) Burns, of Ringgold, Ga, sons, Tommy (Susan) Ackerman of Merryville, LA, George (Sharon) Ackerman of Rutherglen, VA, Mark (Pam) Ackerman of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Shirley (Reagan) Walters of Cumming,GA; grandchildren, Hannah Dixon, Rickey Ackerman, Fayme (Charlie) Bryant, Jessie (Fi) Litton, Christopher (Cynthia) Ackerman, Corey (Missy) Ackerman, Eric Ackerman, Deena (Mark) Hoblit, Alicia (Brandon) Day; great grandchildren, Olivia Dixon, Isaac Whitaker, Kai Whitaker, Zachery Wenzel, Lilian Day, Cooper Day, Olivia Ackerman, Kylee Ackerman, Rebekah Ackerman, Elijah Ackerman, Emma Bryant, Audrey, Bryant, Carlie Bryant, Lorelei Litton, Maloki Litton; great great grandchild Ezra Levi Whitaker. A graveside service in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Pineville Cemetery in Monroeville, Alabama with Rev. Mike Saucer officiating.
