Obituary Michael L. Aguiar, age 52, of Swansea, MA, died unexpectedly on May 12, 2020 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Lisa A. (Pereira) Aguiar. He was born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, a son of Carlos M. Aguiar and wife Aida of Portugal, Maria da Conceicao (Lezaola) Jezierny and husband Steven of Rumford. Michael was owner of MLA Construction. He was a member of the NRA, an avid hockey player and loved and enjoyed his “furry friends” Levi, Luci, Smudgi and Oscar. He was married to his loving wife for 20 years. In addition to his wife Lisa and his parents, he is survived by his mother and father-in-law Manuel and Gail (Giarrusso) Pereira of Swansea, his siblings; Anabela Malone (Mark) of East Providence, Leonor Gallagher (Edward), 11 nieces and nephews Rochelle, Shane, Brenna, Krystal, Courtney, Megan, Marcus, Ian, Julian, Arianna and Amiyah, 3 cousins Christina, Paula and Andrea. He was the nephew of Martin Lezaola, Filomena Lopez, Leonor Lezaola, Brazilina Lezaola and of the late Victor Lezaola. Funeral Services with Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be Private. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church in East Providence at a future date. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Michael L.
