Obituary Michael Clayton Miller of Samson passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020. He was 67. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Piney Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jack Chancey, Rev. Randy Adams, and Rev. Joel Snell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Miller was born in Samson, AL on November 14, 1952, to the late Cecil and Myrtice Warr Miller. He co-owned and operated Miller Roofing Co. with his son, Shane. He was a member of the Samson City Council for many years. He was a big fan of Auburn sports. Mr. Miller was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. He was a board member at New Life Worship Center for ten years. He coordinated “Hands Helping” delivering meals to the shut-ins. He is survived by his wife, Ann Miller of Samson; two daughters, Pam Miller Bethea (Guy) of Prattville, and Christa Miller; son, Shane Miller both of Samson; three grandchildren, Mason Williams and Taylor Bethea both of Prattville, and Olivia Miller, of Slocomb; sister, Louise Linton (James B.); special loved one, Robert Pittman all of Samson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
