Obituary Mathilda “Tillie” Bontempo, 88 of Hudson N.Y. passed peacefully on Wednesday May 13, 2020 of natural causes at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson. Tillie was born on February 1, 1932 to parents John and Frances O’Rourke in Brooklyn, N.Y. She is predeceased by brothers, Edward and James and, sisters Helen and Viola. Beloved wife of the late Mario Bontempo. Survived by beloved daughter Christine Costa, and son-in-law Joseph Costa: grandsons Mario and Gino Costa and great grandson, Ezio Costa. She is also survived by sisters Isabel Narbuth of PalmBay, Fl. and Christine Muldoon, L.I. New York. Matilda was an avid painter, specializing in landscapes of her cherished Hudson Valley. Graveside services will be held on Saturday May 23, 2020 at 10:30 AM in the New St. Bridget’s Cemetery in Copake Falls, NY. Arrangements are with the Peck and Peck Funeral Home of Copake, NY.
