Obituary HARKERS ISLAND: Martin Vern Terry, 59, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Harkers Island. He was born in Durham, the son of the late Michael Lee Terry and Laverne Crabtree Terry. Mr. Terry was a member of the Durham Masonic Lodge #352, Knap of Reeds Lodge #158 and Franklin Lodge #109. Mr. Terry is survived by his wife, Joyce Terry; sons, William Terry, Sam Terry and wife Laney; step sons, Will Burton, Brad Futch, Brian Futch and wife Deborah Futch; step-daughter Megan Burton; and grandchildren, Tyler Terry, Mason Terry, and Lucas Terry. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Monday May 4, 2020. Friends can pay their respects on Monday from 8-12 p.m. at the funeral home in Durham. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Masonic Home for Children. 600 College St Oxford, NC 27565.
