Obituary Maggie Morrison Gropper, 65 of Twin City, Ga died on May 3, 2020 in her home after a brief illness under the care of hospice. She was surrounded by her family and grandchildren. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to the United States as a child to Miami, Fl. She worked in Metter for many years as a Paralegal. She was proceeded in death by her parents James & Bethea Morrison. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Wooten (Jamie Durre) of Millen, Heather Donaldson (Tim) of Twin City, and Stephanie Hoey (Dan) of Pooler; all of her prized and treasured grandchildren that brightened every dark day, Alan Watson, Kayla Watson, Miya Wooten, Alana Donaldson, Evan Donaldson, Brayden Donaldson, Jase Donaldson, Natalie Hoey and Emily Hoey; her brothers, Jim Morrison (Karen) Of New Mexico and Robert Morrison (Carolyn) of Palm Bay, Florida; her fiancée Randy Jones of Swainsboro; her ex-husband, Steve Gropper of Metter; a nephew, Neil Morrison (Michelle) of Gainesville, Florida; her cousin, Ian McGuire; and her best friend, Tammy Wells. Per her request, there will not be any sort of funeral service. She said that she didn’t want anyone to be sad for her and she didn’t want to “fuss” over a funeral. The family will arrange a private memorial service at a later date. Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
