Lyle Alan Sanderson, age 74, passed away peacefully at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN on April 30, 2020 after staying with his daughter for several months during a period of declining health. Lyle was born in Prairie du Chien, WI on August 26, 1945, the son of Kenneth and Virginia (Schwert) Sanderson. He grew up on the family dairy farm near Wauzeka, WI where he graduated from high school. Lyle attended the University of Wisconsin briefly before returning to help his Dad on the farm. During his father’s latter years, Lyle also took over the family’s fur buying business. Many hunters in the area came to know Lyle while selling their furs or deer hides after a successful hunt. Lyle met some of these hunters as kids and would fondly recall when these hunters, now adults, would bring their children in to sell furs or hides. Lyle married Starr Marshall in 1975 and had a daughter during their 12 years of marriage. Those who knew Lyle remember his sense of humor and how he enjoyed to ‘shoot the breeze’ with folks that crossed his path. Lyle enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with family, especially his granddaughter. Lyle is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (David) Brown, a granddaughter, Destiny Brown, step-granddaughter, Abigail Brown, a brother, Gary (Gladys) Sanderson, and two nieces. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Virginia Sanderson, and an infant brother, Wayne Sanderson.
