Obituary Louis Leon McCoy, 77, of Broken Bow, OK; affectionately known by all as Leon, passed from this life May 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Leon was born on March 13, 1943 and was the son of John Robert “Bob” McCoy and Mertis Marie Dean. He married the love of his life, Judith Price, on October 7, 1985 in Clarksville, TX. They enjoyed 34 wonderful years of marriage together. Leon was “McCoy Strong” and had a close relationship with God. He was a carpenter, entrepreneur, and beekeeper. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing guitar and keyboard. Leon was a great artist, loving to paint. He was a very creative person; always thinking outside the box and making something out of nothing. He had a green thumb (and a half) as he could get anything to grow. Leon loved his family and spending time with his wife Judy was the highlight of his day. He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Mertis; and son, Ricky Leon McCoy. Leon leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Judy of the home; two children, Todd DeWayne McCoy and wife Jennifer of Idabel, OK, and Rachel (McCoy) Cherry and husband Josh of Birmingham, AL; four brothers, Don McCoy of Poteau, OK, J.R. McCoy and wife Anita of Chickasha, OK, Larry McCoy and wife Sue of Chickasha, OK, and David McCoy and wife Janet of Tom, OK; three sisters, Tina Mann of Amber, OK, Louise Bright of Oklahoma City, OK, and Shirley White of Chickasha, OK; three grandchildren, Jade Kathryn McCoy, Jackson Coy Cherry, and Micah Jase Cherry; as well as several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America – Tulsa. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 28, 2020 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home – Chapel. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday May 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home – Chapel with Bro. Chuck Darby officiating.
