Lena Drucilla “Dru” Housel, 79, passed away Saturday May 23, 2020 at Glenburn Home in Linton. Dru was born to Mildred (Fuller) Foster and Scott Oats on Feb 10, 1941 in Lockney, Texas. She was later adopted and raised by stepfather Clyde Foster, along with Mildred. She married Donovan Ross Housel on July 18, 1958 in Portales, New Mexico. She was a homemaker, avid gardener, artist, decorator, and most of all a follower of Jesus Christ. She had gone to the Bloomfield Church of God and the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Bloomington. Survivors include her husband Donovan Housel of Jasonville, son Donovan Housel (Peggy) of Spencer, daughter Dawn Welch of Jasonville, daughter Dara Carmichael (Tim) of Calvertville, two half sisters Robbie Ault of San Antonio, Texas and Peggy Tomlinson of Canyon Lake, Texas, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Sydney Foster, sister Linda Tyler and son Chuck Housel. There will be no public visitation.
